DAXCEL Adhesive & Sealant Division of Dacar Products Company, Inc. manufactured its first general purpose contact adhesive in 1955. The 1958 introduction of DAXCEL FOAMASTIK® 161-D and FOAMGRAB® insulation adhesives established the Daxcel Division's orientation toward the construction field in general and insulation applications in particular.

DAXCEL 161-D FOAMASTIK and FOAMGRAB PS Insulation Adhesives have proven themselves with over 35 years of successful installations. FOAMGRAB PS is marketed to the polystyrene market and has been found to be compatible with STYROFOAM® Insulation by Dow Chemical. DAXCEL 161-D FOAMASTIK is intended for use with FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation, phenolics and polyurethanes as well as polystyrene insulation. Both products are especially well suited to use in low-termperature facilities, such as food and beverage processing.

The DAXFLEX^tm Line, based on SILTHANE^tm brand siliconized polyether and polyurethane prepolymers, is our more recently developed series of elostomeric adhesives and sealants.  DAXFLEX FOAMGRAB CG is designed as a panel adhesive/sealant and works well with cellular glass insulation, such as FOAMGLAS brand, and both expanded polystyrene insulation and the extruded form, such as STYROFOAM brand products. DAXFLEX ST is also geared toward general construction usage. Both have the advantages of silicones and urethanes with few of their disadvantages, with great flexibility and weatherability; unmatched nonstaining and paintability characteristics; and excellent adhesion to most materials, including FOAMGLAS and STYROFOAM insulation products.

DAXFLEX U-104 Polyurethane Sealant is the DAXCEL Division's high-end companion to DAXFLEX ST. The one-part DAXFLEX U-104 provides topnotch aliphatic urethane performance with minimal free isocyanate. DAXFLEX U-104 actually outperforms DAXFLEX ST as a sealant in terms of its ultimate elongation and its primerless adhesion to concrete. DAXFLEX U-104 is the best choice for a joint sealant for use with any concrete surface.

DAXCEL Adhesive & Sealant Division is the most senior of the company's current operating divisions. Along with the equally specialized Dalcor Fabricating, Dalcor Image Systems and Dalcor Coating Systems Division, it makes up sixty-year old Dacar Products Company Inc.
